Liverpool Street, EC2m

"A true example of Old London"

These stunning Grade II Georgian Townhouses are an extremely rare Freehold in the 'Square Mile'. Originally built as merchants houses in around 1780.

Around the same time as the houses were built, the warehouses for the East India Company were also built opposite. The street was originally named Hand Alley and was developed in about 1670 by Sir Robert Clayton (1629-‐1707, merchant banker, politician and Lord Mayor of London).

Anecdotal evidence suggests the houses remained as residential accommodation right up to the 1970’s, although probably in multiple occupation for most of that time.

Currently the houses are used as residential, however prior to this they were used as office accommodation.

Each house comprises 3 reception rooms, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, steam room, utility and roof terrace.

Planning permission has now been received to convert the houses into 15 studio flats, which would ideally suit being used as short term / serviced accommodation.
